Create a “Pin on image” activity
Discover Beekast's new activity: Pin on image!
This 2-in-1 activity lets you assess your participants by asking them to find the right answer in the image presented, or simply take their opinion. The objective? Find and position the correct answer(s) on an image. Test knowledge or poll your participants in a fun way with this visual activity!
How does it work?
This activity offers two possible formats:
1. The evaluation format: this activity allows you to measure the level of acquired knowledge of your participants and to assign them points for each good answer.
To participate, your audience must place one or multiple “pins” on the good answer(s) on the image (set by the facilitator) in order to collect the points of the question.
2. The survey mode: this activity also allows you to collect your participant's opinion and invites them to place the “pins” where they wish on the proposed image (without the notion of a right or wrong answer).
To create and add the activity “Pin on image” in your session, click on “Add a slide” on the top left, then select “Pin on image” at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
When you choose the “Pin on image” activity, the interface adapts instantly: a dedicated editing panel appears on the right of your screen, allowing you to customise your activity. At the same time, the system automatically saves your activity with the same name as the newly created activity (in this case, Pin on image) and integrates it into your presentation, visible as a slide in the left-hand navigation bar.
Activity settings
You will have access to the next sections:
1. Title and instructions
- Customise your Pin on image activity! The default title is the name of the activity. To change it, delete the automatic title and enter your own question or a customised title.
- Add an instruction to give you more details about your activity. This option is optional.
2. Activity format
- Choose the format of the activity, either an assessment or a Survey.
- Choose the number of points to be earned for your question, if the activity has been set to assessment format.
- You can add your image from your computer, from an external link (in the format recommended by Beekast) or from our royalty-free image bank.
Once you have selected the image, you can:
1- Enter the title of your proposal
2- Delete the proposal (the activity parameters at least one proposal)
3- Choose the shape of your response zone, a circle, or a rectangle.
4- Add other proposals
5. Finally, click on Next to add the image and its settings.
3. Presentation settings and Results
From this area, you can

- Select the display mode, after each response or at the end of the activity.
If you choose the Survey format, point assignment is now deactivated
It is possible to add launch settings to your activity, consult our dedicated article about
Time management settings.
When the activity is in Survey mode, it is not possible to modify the answers once they have been submitted.
Start your activity
In participant scroll mode (asynchronous mode), your Pin on image is automatically accessible as soon as your activity is recorded.
If the presenter is in scrolling mode, you can manually launch your activity by clicking on the green "Start" button at the top right of your slide.
To make the activity unavailable to participants, you can click on "Stop" at the top right of the slide. Participants will then no longer be able to record new answers.
As the owner/facilitator of a session, you can choose to participate in the activity by clicking on the tab Participate on the top of the activity slide once it has been launched.
To take part in the activity :
1. Click on the proposal.
2. Then drag the "sticker" to the desired position in the image.
3. Then click on Send to validate the answer.
For the assessment activities, the participants will no longer be able to modify their responses once these have been sent.
The options for the activity
At any moment, you can by clicking on the three little dots on the top right of the activity:
1. Restart
2. Edit the activity
3. Duplicate
4. Eliminate the slide

Scores
The Pin on image activity as an evaluation activity allows your participants to score points based on the selected answers. The participant will earn points for each correct answer and will not earn any points if they give a wrong answer.
Points can be displayed by presenters and participants using the My Score button, found at the top of the screen next to the Results button. A small window will provide information about the points earned and on which activities.
General podium
Whether you have created teams or not in your session, the points won by teams or individually during the activity will also be visible on the activity podium. To view the podium, click on the cup on the right-hand side of your screen to see the rankings for the different teams.
