Create a Word cloud




Thanks to this activity, your participants can send keywords and even Emojis, related to the title or question, which are projected live on your screen in the form of a cloud.
The more a word is sent, the bigger it gets and the more it moves towards the center of the slide.
Let your participants express themselves on a topic and collect the keywords that come up most often.

To create a Word cloud activity, click on "Add a slide" at the top left of your session, and select the "Word cloud" activity on the tab that opens. 


When you choose the Word cloud activity, the interface adapts instantly: a dedicated editing panel appears on the right of your screen, allowing you to customise your activity. At the same time, the system automatically saves your activity with the same name as the newly created activity (in this case, Word cloud) and integrates it into your presentation, visible as a slide in the left-hand navigation bar.


Edition of the activity

Title and Instructions
- Customise your Word cloud activity! The default title is the name of the activity. To change it, delete the automatic title and enter your own question or a customised title.
- Add an instruction to give more details about your activity. This option is optional.



Activity format
You can allow your participants to send multiple words, or limit them to one contribution per participant.
You can also authorise multiple entries of the same word.



Launch settings
To make your activity even more dynamic, you can choose to display a Stopwatch or a Timer (to determine the duration of your activity).



Presentation settings and Results
- Once Moderation has been activated, this function allows you to edit, accept or reject a contribution before it is published.
-Display the number of words published live.
- Choose how you want the results of your activity to be displayed, either in real time (Live) or at once, when you close the activity.



Then, click on Save to register the information.

Start your activity

In the participants' mode (asynchronous mode), your Word cloud is automatically available once your activity is saved. In the facilitators' mode, you can manually start your activity by clicking on the green button "Start" on the top right of your slide.


To end the activity and ensure that your participants can no longer contribute to it, click on "Stop".

Participate in the activity

To send a word to the Word cloud, fill in the dedicated space of the word and then click on Send to see the word appear

The options of the activity 

You can perform the following actions on your activity at any time:
  1. Reset
  2. Edit
  3. Duplicate
  4. Delete


Info
Beekast is responsive. In mobile view, the cloud will not be displayed on the screens, but your participants will still be able to participate to the activity and send an idea!
