Create a Word cloud




The Word Cloud activity allows participants to submit keywords or emojis in response to a question or topic. The contributions are displayed live in the form of a cloud. The more a word is submitted, the larger it becomes and the closer it moves to the center of the slide.

Add a Word Cloud to a session

  1. In your session, click Add a slide.
  2. Select Word Cloud from the list of available activities.
  3. An editing panel opens on the right side of the screen, allowing you to configure the activity. The activity is automatically saved and added to your presentation, visible as a slide in the left-hand navigation bar.



Edit the activity

1. Title and Instructions
You can customize the title of the activity. By default, it uses the activity name. You may also add instructions to guide participants. This field is optional.

2. Activity format
You can allow your participants to send multiple words, or limit them to one contribution per participant. You can also authorize multiple entries of the same word.

3. Presentation settings 
  1. Enable moderation to review, accept, or reject contributions before they are displayed.
  2. Display the number of submitted words live.

Start and stop th activity

  1. In the self-paced mode, the activity is accessible automatically once it is saved.
  2. In the live mode, start the activity by clicking Start activity on the top right of the slide.
  3. To stop the activity and prevent new submissions, click Stop on the top right of the slide.




Participate to the activity

To send a word to the Word cloud, fill in the dedicated space of the word and then click on Send to see the word appear

Manage the activity 

You can perform the following actions on your activity at any time:
  1. Reset the activity to erase all contributions
  2. Edit the activity
  3. Duplicate the activity to create another one with the same settings
  4. Delete the activity if you don't need this slide anymore (all deletion on a session is definitive)

Beekast is responsive. In mobile view, the cloud will not be displayed on the screens, but your participants will still be able to participate to the activity and send an idea!
