How to import a session?

How can you import a Beekast session to another account, in your organization or another one?

You can import a session from one Beekast account to another, whether it belongs to the same organization as you or to a different organization you're also part of. Your colleagues can then access the session directly from their own Beekast account.

Notes
Premium feature: importing a session requires both accounts (the one that owns the session and the one importing it) to have a premium subscription linked to the same license. Check out our Pricing.

Generate the import code

If you own the session you want to share, start by generating its import code:
  1. Go to Configure for your session by clicking the button on the top left of your slideshow.
  2. In the menu on the left, click General.
  3. Scroll down and click Generate a code.



Copy this code and share it with the person who wants to import your session.

Import the session to your account

Once you have an import code:

  1. Go to the Homepage of your account.

  2. Click Create a session.

  3. Click on Duplicate session to insert the code.

  4. Then click on Import.




The imported session appears in your "Default" folder with the mention [copy]. It's blank of any participation and completely independent from the original session: you can edit it however you like.

Import a session between two different organizations

With the multi-organization setup now in place, importing between two different organizations is possible, but follows a specific rule: both accounts must be linked to the same license, meaning the same organization.

To perform this type of import, you must meet these conditions:

  1. be the owner of the original organization;
  2. be the owner of the session to import;
  3. be a member of the destination organization.

If the colleague who wants your session belongs to a different organization than yours:
  1. That colleague (or the owner of their organization) must first add you as a member of their organization.
  2. Once you're a member of that organization, you can import the session from your original account to your account linked to this new organization.
  3. You can then perform a second import to the colleague's account, this time within that same organization.

Both accounts involved in an import must always be linked to the same premium license.

An import between two different organizations therefore requires going through an organization common to both people.

What happens to the original session after an import?
It stays unchanged. The import creates an independent copy on the destination account.
