How to upload and share your videos

Import your video content directly to your Beekast session from your device (computer, phone, tablet) or from a platform (YouTube, Vimeo, and Dailymotion)

To add your own video or from a platform, click on the button “Add a slide” on the panel at the left of your screen, then select “Video” on the section that opens.

General

Add a title to your video slide. The title that you assigned to your video will be visible in the tab “Organize”, with the other slides of your session.

In the case your importing a video from your device, if you don’t add a title, the original title of the file will be the one showing.

Format

To import a video from a platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion, click on:
“Integrate an external service” then fill in the URL of the chosen video in the section “Video link”. Once the URL is added, the video appears on the “Format” edition page of the activity.

To import a video from your device, click on “Upload a video” and then on the button “Select file”.

You are limited by a predefined file size which is indicated below the "Select file" button. This limit depends on your Beekast subscription.

When you upload your video, an import progress bar will appear. Once the import is done, you can proceed to the saving of your video content slide.

If the video file is not valid, the slide will default (red color slide).

So to make the participants see the video on their own devices, click on “Participants can launch the video on their devices”.

If you do not allow your participants to play the video, it can only be viewed on the projection screen and launched by the facilitator.

Once your video is imported and your settings are done, click on “Save” to register the slide.

Launch the video

Once saved, your video will appear in your Beekast interface and that of your participants, if you have authorized in the settings the launching of the video by the participants.
You can launch it whenever you want.

If you haven’t authorized the launching of the video by the participants in your settings, they will see then the previewing image.

You have the possibility to preview your video. You will find the next information:
  1. Duration of the video
  2. How to delete the video
