Create a Dot Voting Activity

Add a Dot Voting Activity

  1. Click the Add a slide button at the top left of your session.
  2. Select Dot voting.

The activity is added to your presentation, visible as a slide in the left-hand navigation bar. An editing panel automatically appears on the right of your screen.

Configure the activity

Customize the title and instructions

  1. Customize the title (default: "Dot voting").
  2. Add optional instructions to provide clarification.

Choose the activity format

  1. Select the number of points your participants will be able to distribute (from 1 to 100).
  2. Click Add a proposal for each item to prioritize.
  3. Add a photo to a proposal if needed.
  4. Remove a proposal if needed.

Set up the display and results

  1. Choose whether to display the live participant count.
  2. Choose how results are displayed: in real-time (Live), or all at once when you close the activity.

Launch and manage the activity

  1. Click Start to launch the activity.
  2. Click Stop, at the top right of the slide to stop it.
As the owner/collaborator of a session, you can take part in the activity by clicking the Participate tab at the top of the activity slide once it has been launched.

  1. Reset the activity.
  2. Edit the activity.
  3. Duplicate the activity.
  4. Delete the activity.

Is Dot voting available on all accounts?
No, this activity is reserved for Premium users.

How many points can I distribute among my proposals?
You can distribute between 1 and 100 points among your proposals.

Can I add photos to my proposals?
Yes, you can add photos to the proposals in your Dot voting activity.

Can I see the results in real time?
Yes, you can choose to display results live or only once the activity is closed.

Can the session owner take part in the activity?
Yes, by clicking the Participate tab at the top of the activity slide once it has been launched.

Can I set a time limit for the activity?
Yes, by adding a launch setting. See Add Time Settings to an activity.
