Create a Poll Activity


How do you collect your participants' opinions with a Poll activity?

The Poll lets you take an opinion or ask your audience's opinion with a single or multiple choice question. Results are displayed as a bar, donut, or pie chart.

Add the Poll activity

To create a Poll:
  1. Click "Add a slide", at the top left of your screen.
  2. Select the "Poll" activity.

The activity is integrated into your presentation; it is saved automatically and appears as a slide in the navigation bar on the left. An editing panel appears automatically on the right-hand side of your screen.

Configure the activity

Edit the title and instructions

  1. By default, the title matches the activity's name. To change it, delete the automatic title and enter your own question or a custom title.
  2. Add an instruction to give more details about your activity. This option is optional.

Choose the question format and suggested answers

Select the format of your question:
  1. Single-choice question: only one possible answer among the suggestions.
  2. Multiple choice question: several possible answers from the list of suggestions.

For the suggested answers:
  1. Enter the different suggested answers in the fields provided.
  2. Click "Add a suggestion" to add more suggestions.
  3. Remove a suggestion with the trash icon to the right of each text field.
  4. Add an image to a suggestion by clicking the image icon, if you wish.

Set up how results are displayed

  1. Choose whether to display the number of participants live.
  2. Choose how the results of your activity are displayed: in real time (Live), or all at once when you close the activity.
  3. Choose the chart format you want and whether to show the number of responses as a percentage.

Start and stop the activity

  1. When participants scroll through the slides themselves (self-paced mode), your Survey is automatically accessible as soon as you save the activity.
  2. When the presenter scrolls through the slides (live mode), launch your activity manually by clicking the green "Start" button at the top right of your slide. You can now collect your participants' opinions.
  3. To end the activity so participants can no longer contribute, click "Stop".


💡Good to know
As the creator/facilitator of a session, you can choose to take part in an activity by clicking the "Take part" tab, at the top of the activity's title, once it has started.

Manage the activity after creation

At any time, you can:
  1. Reset
  2. Edit
  3. Duplicate
  4. Delete

How do I add a Poll activity to my presentation?
Click "Add a slide" at the top left of your screen, then select the "Poll" activity.

What's the difference between single-choice and multiple-choice?
With single choice, only one answer is possible among the suggestions. With multiple choice, several answers can be selected.

How do I display Poll results live?
In the presentation settings, choose the "Live" display mode to show results in real time, or choose a single display when you close the activity.

How do I start my Poll if I'm the presenter?
Click the green "Start" button at the top right of your slide.

Can I take part in the Poll myself as the creator/facilitator?
Yes, click the "Take part" tab at the top of the activity's title once it has started.

Can I edit my Poll after creating it?
Yes, at any time you can reset, edit, duplicate, or delete it.
