Create a Quiz activity


Want to create an interactive Quiz to test or assess your participants?

The Quiz is an assessment activity that lets you test your participants' knowledge with a fun Quiz. It's ideal for measuring learning outcomes or stimulating competition within a group.

Notes
The Quiz is an activity reserved for Premium users.

This activity is only available in Live scrolling mode.

Add the activity to your session

To add a Quiz to your session:
  1. Click Add a slide, at the top left of your session.
  2. Select Quiz from the dropdown menu.
  3. The editor automatically opens on the right to configure your activity.

The Quiz slide is automatically saved and added to the slide deck in your session, on the left.

Configure the activity

Title and instructions

  1. Edit the default title to better reflect your objective.
  2. Add optional instructions to guide participants.

Activity format

  1. Teams: you can generate teams for the Quiz. Participants choose a team at the start, and scores are calculated based on the average of individual results.
  2. Available question types: Multiple choice, Single choice, Open-ended question.
  3. Set the number of points awarded for each correct answer.
  4. Enable partial answer scoring for multiple-choice questions.

💡Good to know
A minimum of 2 teams is required to save.

For each question, you can:
  1. Add a question title.
  2. Insert an explanation for the answer.
  3. Add or remove answer options.
  4. Reorder options using drag and drop.
  5. Add images to options.

Display settings

  1. Display the number of live participants.
  2. Choose when results are displayed: after each answer or at the end of the activity.
  3. You can create as many questions as you want.

You can add a launch parameter. Refer to our article on time settings.

Start and end the activity

  1. Click Start, at the top right of the slide, to launch the Quiz.
  2. As the host, you can participate by clicking Participate.
  3. At the end of the allotted time, click Stop to end the activity.

The results are then available to you and to participants.


💡Good to know
For assessment activities, participants can no longer modify their answer once it has been submitted.

Available options

Once the activity has been created, you can:
  1. Reset
  2. Edit
  3. Duplicate
  4. Delete

Scores

The Quiz is an assessment activity that lets your participants earn points based on the answers they select.
  1. Participants earn points for each correct answer.
  2. They earn no points for an incorrect answer.

Points can be viewed by presenters and participants using the My score button, located at the top of the screen, next to the Results button. A small window provides information about the points earned and the related activities.

General podium

By clicking the trophy icon on your activity, you can view:
  1. The individual leaderboard, as a participant.
  2. The team leaderboard, if you've added teams to your session.
To view the points earned across the whole session, go to the projection screen via the Present button, at the top right of the session.

No, any deletion is permanent.
