Creating teams to challenge your participants

Create teams (available only in the Challenge activity)

Create teams directly from Beekast and challenge your participants! Even more, project the overall ranking so that your participants can see the results and their performance!

The creation of teams is available solely for the sessions created on scrolling mode by the facilitator, and the teams’ points are only effective for the Challenge, Ranking, and MCQ evaluation activities.

How to create teams on Beekast ?

To create teams, click on “Settings, on the top of your session. Then select the tab “Teams”, on the bottom left of the menu, that you will see on your screen. Finally, click on “Add a team” and fill in the name of the team.

You can create as many teams as you wish.
Once all your teams created, click on “Save”.

It is possible to assign a color to a team by clicking on the icon that is on the left of the teams’ name. To remove a team, click on the red garbage can on the right of the team you want to delete.
Attention! Setting up teams needs to refresh your page to be taken into account.

At the memento to join your session, your participants will be free to choose the team of their choice. The facilitator cannot assign teams to a specific participant.

It is not possible to change teams once one selected.

You, as your participants, will keep a visual reminder on the avatar with the color of the chosen team, in the top right corner of your screen. Either computer or mobile phone.
The name of your team is visible by clicking on your avatar.

Scores

When teams have been set up on your session, your participants will gain points individually, but also by team thanks to the assessment activities (Ranking, MCQ, and Challenge). By answering correctly to the activities, your participants will earn points.

  1. Individual scores:
For the Ranking and MCQ activities, the individually earned points can be seen once the activity has ended. Click on the red button on the top right of the slide “Stop activity”, then on the icon of the trophy on the bottom right of the slide, to see the podium and the participant's results for the activity. When the activity is stopped, the participant can see the earned points by clicking on the “podium” icon.

General team leaderboard

The general team leaderboard is the way in which Beekast regroups the earned points, individually and by teams, and places them on a podium. So that the owner and his participants can observe the performance and progress of the session playfully.

The facilitator can display the session’s general leaderboard of the teams, from the projection screen of Beekast.

The leaderboard by teams will only take into account the earned points with the assessment activities.

To display the projection screen and then the podium:
  1. Click on Present in the top right corner of your session.
  2. In the new screen that will open, hover your mouse over the right top corner of the screen to see the options.
  3. Finally, click on the trophy icon.

And here it is the general leaderboard, visible to everyone on the projection screen!
