Self-paced session

The scrolling mode determines whether your participants move through the slides at their own pace or follow the facilitator. You can set and change it from your session settings.

Self-paced scrolling lets participants move through the slides independently. As long as the session is open, participants can join whenever they choose and take part in activities at their own pace.

💡Good to know

Changing the scrolling mode can have several consequences: recorded Quiz activities are deleted, votes on Board activities are removed, and activities in general are reset, leaving the session empty of contributions. If the session has no contributions yet, no warning is shown when you change the mode.

What is Self-paced scrolling?

It's a mode that lets participants move through the slides independently and take part in activities at their own pace, as long as the session stays open. It's a premium feature.

How do I change my session's scrolling mode?

Click the Settings gear icon at the top of your session, then in the General tab, Session mode section, select Live or Self paced. The change is saved automatically.

What happens if I change the scrolling mode during a session?

Recorded Quiz activities are deleted, votes on Board activities are removed, and activities are reset: the session becomes empty of contributions again.

How do I choose when to show correct answers?

In the Settings gear icon > General > Self paced card, choose After each answer or At the end under Show correct answers. The Show how others answered option also lets participants see the other participants' answers.

Is Self-paced scrolling available on all plans?

It's a premium feature; check the Pricing page to verify your eligibility.
