What is a Master session and its Clone sessions?

This feature lets you create a Master session that shares its template with several facilitators.

  • Clone sessions are led independently by each facilitator.

  • Results are automatically and directly aggregated in the Master session's Dashboard.

  • Clone sessions cannot be modified by facilitators: control over the template is preserved.

How do I create a Master session and its Clone sessions?

1. Create the Master session

From the Home page or a folder:

  1. Click Create a session.

  2. Then click on Master session.

💡Good to know

  • All Clone sessions inherit the slide navigation mode chosen for the Master session. It can no longer be changed once this choice is made.

Once the session is created:

You can add co-owners. They have the same rights as you: adding content, sharing the session, exporting results, viewing results in the Dashboard, etc.

💡Good to know

  • Once the Master session has been shared (as soon as a Clone session has been created), it is no longer possible to edit the content, except the title.

2. Generate and share the import code

Two ways to generate the import code:

  • Click the Share button, at the top right of the session.

  • Or click the Configure button, at the top left of the session.

In the General tab, the import code is initially blurred, then can be shared.

To add facilitators: click Share at the top right, then + Add in the Emails section, and enter your colleagues' email addresses. They receive an invitation email to join the session, and a Clone session "[copy] YOUR SESSION TITLE" is automatically created in their workspace.

💡Good to know

  • To add people as facilitators of your Master session, they must have an Enterprise premium license and belong to the same organization as you.

3. Clone session creation

As soon as the Master session owner has added facilitators, Clone sessions are automatically created in these facilitators' workspaces.

With the import code, the facilitator goes to Beekast, clicks Create a session, then clicks Duplicate a session and enters the Master session's import code. The Clone session is created with "[copy]" preceding the title.

💡Good to know

  • The facilitator cannot modify the content, change the slide order, change the session settings, or even open or close the session.

The facilitator can invite participants via the public link or the session code — see how to invite participants to join the session.

How do I lead Clone sessions?

Leading the session works the same as a normal session, depending on the chosen slide navigation mode. See how to host a Beekast session.

How do I view results in the Dashboard?

Once the Clone sessions are finished, results are automatically aggregated in the Master session's Dashboard, instantly.

Several analysis filters are available: overall analysis, by activity, by session, by participant…
