Import your video content directly into your Beekast session from your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) or from a platform (YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion).
Add a video
To add a video to your session:
Click Add a slide, in the panel on the left.
In the panel that appears, select Video.
Video title
Give your video slide a title: it will be visible in the Organize tab, along with the other slides. If you import a video from your device without adding a title, the file name is used.
Format
There are two ways to add your video:
Video from a platform: select Integrate an external service, then paste the video URL into the Link to video field.
Video from your device: choose Upload video, then click Choose file to import your video.
Depending on your plan, a size limit applies — it's shown below the upload button.
A progress bar shows the upload status. If the file isn't valid, the slide will appear in error (red background).
For videos imported from a device, you can also add a background image for the preview: click the pencil icon, then select the image you want.
💡Good to know
Supported formats: 3GP, AAC, AVI, FLV, MP4, MOV, and MPEG-2.
Playback settings
You have two playback options:
Allow participants to play the video on their devices.
Restrict playback to the facilitator's screen (projection).
If you don't allow participants to play the video, it can only be viewed on the projection screen, started by the facilitator.
Playback and preview
Once the slide is saved, the video appears in the facilitator's Beekast interface — and in participants' interface if the option is enabled. You can start the video at any time. If playback was restricted, participants will see the preview image until the facilitator starts it.
During preview, you have access to:
The video's duration.
The option to delete the video.
Background image customization before launch.
