Create a session

How do you create a new Beekast session?

Once logged in to your account, you can create a new session in just a few clicks, directly from the "My sessions" area. Once your session is created, default settings are applied—you can change them at any time.

Create a new session

To get started:
  1. Click Create session at the top of the page, in the Homepage area.
  2. Or start directly by clicking on one of the suggested activities to create your slides.

Once the session is created, these default settings apply (you can change them afterwards):

  1. The default scrolling mode is facilitator-controlled (synchronous).
  2. The session is automatically named "New session + creation date."
  3. The default identification mode is Avatar-based.
To change your session's title, click the pencil icon to the right of the pre-filled title, then press "Enter" or click outside the box. A green pop-up appears on the right of the page to confirm the change.

Creating new sessions is not available on mobile. Use the web version of Beekast on a computer.

Your session is created: all that's left is to customize and configure it!

Add content to your session

Enrich your session with different types of content to offer your participants a complete experience.
  1. Click Add a slide to open the library and access our different types of activity.
  2. Use our Activity Templates, pre-designed by our Product team, to optimize your Kast creation time. These templates adapt to your needs and remain editable.
  3. Add your presentations, your videos, or create content slides.
  4. You can also import a session from another Beekast account if the other account belongs to the same premium organization as you: click HERE for more information.

Can I create a Beekast session from my mobile?
No, creating new sessions is not available on mobile. Use the web version of Beekast on a computer.

How do I rename my session?
Click the pencil icon to the right of the pre-filled title, then press "Enter" or click outside the box. A green pop-up on the right of the page confirms the change.

What scrolling mode is applied by default?
Facilitator-controlled (synchronous) scrolling is applied by default to every new session. You can change it once the session is created.

How do I add PowerPoint slides or videos to my session?
From your session, add your presentations or videos, or create content slides directly.

Can I import a session created on another Beekast account?
Yes, you can import a session from another Beekast account. If the other account belongs to the same premium organisation as you.
